CALLING ALL WATCH D.O.G.S.
WE NEED YOU!
Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering. Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official Watch D.O.G.S. school!
Heritage Dudes! Are you interested in helping during the school day? Do you like extra lunches and recess? Would you be willing to help wherever needed in the building? If you have not been a WatchDOG before, we will have an informational meeting on Thursday, August 27th at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Please watch for more information.
If you have your WatchDOGS tshirt (available from PTO) and have been a WatchDOG before and would like to get involved right away.

Helpful Watch D.O.G. Information
Watch DOGS will sign in with Lobby Guard in the office using your Driver's License. After that, find Mrs. Drees or go to the Media Center to get checked in for the day. You will rotate to different parts of the building every 30 minutes. You may be asked to help with students, read to classes, or help with sanitizing in a classroom. You will be able to have lunch and recess with your students. Please feel free to bring water with you. We have a coffee pot in the library if you would like a cup.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a national program. It was started in Arkansas in 1998 and is now in over 6,400 schools across the United States. The goal of the Watch D.O.G.S program is to provide an extra positive male presence in the school and demonstrate to students that education is important. Our Watch D.O.G.S interact with students all day long inside and outside of the classrooms.
